Happy New Year!

End of 2012 was tough for me- I lost one of the best friends anyone could ever hope to find but he will never be forgotten.
A young medical student was brutally raped and murdered in India, which of course, saddened me greatly as my parents are from India and my close relatives live there – I am a British Indian and proud of it but it made me realise we need to change many things in this world to make it safe for everyone.

Here my top tips to help make the world better in 2013.

1. Make it a mission to do at least ONE kind act for someone else each day.
2. Smile – It’ll make you feel happier and cheer up whoever is the lucky recipient of your big grin.
3. Go out into the fresh air and appreciate the beautiful planet we live on.
4. Do 30 minutes of exercise each day – when you’re fit and strong, you can do anything you want.
5. Study something new for 30 minutes a day – you will become smarter and your brain will be healthier.
6.Teach whatever you learnt yesterday to someone else today – knowledge is power but it’s also a gift.
7. Encourage any younger women you know to study, work and achieve whatever dreams they have, be it your baby sister, your Neighbour or your girlfriend.
8.Recycle your rubbish and if there’s no recycling where you are, demand governments put recycling depots near you as we need to clean up Earth or it’ll be incredibly damaged when we are old.
9. Make sure you’re a healthy weight – obesity is a huge worldwide problem, causing many health problems and disabilities – so eat lots of fresh fruit & veg, and be active – you’ll look good and your body will be happy too!
10.  Show someone you love them everyday – if we are all kinder to each other, to our pets, to our fellow humans and protect the weak, the world will be much happier!

I wish you all a wonderful 2013, full with love, happiness, good health and success in learning many exciting new things!!.
